Its function is to promote, organize, provide, and take charge of logistics, student training, development programs, and academic policies, and to provide and coordinate with professors to provide materials that will be used in the teaching process. Program description:
The Center Cultural Guanin in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was founded to help young adults to develop and to discover their full capacity as adults, citizens and leaders and also to refine it. This happens through the active participation in activities which challenge body, mind and soul and which help to strengthen the self-confidence. Our safe and social Club surrounding as well as our rewarding programs have made it possible for many young Dominicans to develop valuable skills for life to practice and to learn them.
We work in the Dominican Republic and Haitian society and need help with everything that concerns the society, the health system, education, the social life, water supply as well as electricity and healthcare.
The mission of our center is to build a safe and supporting environment, in which every youngster discovers new challenges, positive relationships and trust and where they learn skills for life.
It is our dream to help this country to develop further and to give young people the possibility to live in a safe and supporting environment where they can develop important skills for life.

Are you looking for a challenging time abroad, which gives you numerous possibilities for your personal and educational development?
The volunteer shall teach lessons in English, Spanish, physical education, Community Development, Environment development, Organic Agriculture, health in our Dominican/Haitian society and more.
We offer possibilities in the field of the education of young people. The program is made for people, who are interested in third world country, working with children and youngsters and who would like to help them in reaching their goals and dreams.
Location of Placement: La Piedra, Bani concordia, Municipio de Guerra, Provincia Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Operating conditions:
Working days: Monday - Friday
Working times: 4-8 h/day
Lodging: at the Guanin Community Center, project premises, weekend off
Food: 2 meals per day

airport transfer in host country: at the arrival and the departure
Orientation: 2- 3 days orientation
Assistance for the volunteer: intensive assistance 24/7 through staff of the project, pick up at the airport
